 paintbooth etiquette
Hi all,
Clem has made the monthly gathering into a successful social event for us modelers. However, I noticed a few lapses in our consideration for his equipments and for fellow modelers at the gathering. I am definitely guilty of them. I think in sharing some of the things that I have forgotten to do can serve as reminders for other people. Please feel free to add items that you have noticed as well.
(1) Turn off the booth if no one is following you.
(2) Turn off the pump and shut off the valve from the tank.
(3) Clean the airbrush when done painting. Flush the AB with Home Depot thinner at lease twice. I often flush it once more with Mr. Color thinner if I know no one else is going to use it for the day.
(4) Bring your own bottle of Mr. Color thinner.
(5) Move your painted skewered parts out of the way. They can easily catch on other people's clothes and spill.

(6) Oh I forgot, bringing your own bottle of primer would not hurt. Or perhaps we should chip in for a group supply of Mr. Primer. They go fast since everyone needs to prime their models.

Guys, if you use my compressor and tank. Make sure you return the compressor and tank to the settings before you use it. For example, make sure the FUCKING TANK VALVE IS CLOSED. It's quite annoying to want to paint and realize that the last person to use the tank DID NOT CLOSE THE VALVE, allowing all the air stored within to escape.
Common courtesy for using my stuff please.
